CLR Conductivity Cells
This is a glass-body conductivity cell designed for low-volume conductivity measurement applications. It features platinized pure platinum electrodes and a Pb-glass body housed in a cylindrical Pyrex GL14 glass case with screwed cap and seals.
The cell is suitable for operation at temperatures up to 180°C and is designed for accurate measurement in sample volumes from 0.7 ml to 1.5 ml. Two 1.0 m PTFE-lined wires are included for reliable operation in laboratory and industrial environments.
Technical Specifications
- Cell body: Pb-glass
- Cell case: Cylindrical Pyrex GL14 glass case with screwed cap
- Measuring electrodes: 2 platinized platinum electrodes
- Cell constant: K = 1 cm⁻¹ ±10%
- Operating temperature range: -5°C to 180°C
- Thermal shock should be avoided during operation
- Dimensions: Refer to drawing
- Connections: 2 × 1.0 m PTFE-lined wires

Installation & Operation
The platinum electrodes must remain fully immersed during operation. An air gap above the liquid must be maintained to prevent damage caused by thermal expansion.
Calibration
FS values, cell constant, and set-points are factory calibrated. Only K-correction is required during start-up calibration.
Maintenance
Clean with water or detergent only. Avoid mechanical cleaning, as it may damage the electrodes.
