CLR Combined pH electrode for laboratory applications

The Mod. 101L is a robust, combined pH electrode tailored for all typical laboratory applications. Featuring a highly durable glass membrane and an Ag/AgCl reference system filled with liquid electrolyte, it delivers reliable and precise measurements. Its versatile design allows for advanced customizations, including an integral temperature sensor for precise thermo-compensation or a salt bridge with various external electrolytes to suit diverse testing environments.

Key Advantages

  • Built to Last: Features a very rugged glass membrane designed for daily laboratory use.
  • Advanced Customization: Available with an integral temperature sensor (Pt100 or Pt1000) or a salt bridge with multiple external electrolyte options.
  • Convenient Maintenance: Equipped with a lateral filling hole for quick and easy electrolyte refilling.
  • Specialized Options: An increased-area porous diaphragm version is available, making it an excellent choice for fluids containing fouling substances.

Important Configuration Notes

  1. HIGH TEMP (0–130°C): Must use L2 membrane. LR membrane is only for low temperature / low conductivity applications (0–10 pH range limitation applies).
  2. INTEGRAL TEMPERATURE SENSOR (Pt100 / Pt1000): No salt bridge versions allowed. Must select standard reference configuration only.
  3. S7 SCREW CONNECTOR: No plug option required. S7 is a bare threaded connection and cannot be combined with BNC / DIN / LEMO connectors.
  4. Ø6 mm BODY VERSION: Not compatible with salt bridge configurations. Only standard body designs apply.
  5. LOW CONDUCTIVITY MEDIA: LR membrane only, restricted to low conductivity solutions and low temperature use cases.

Calibration & Care Guide

  • Storage: When not in use, keep the glass membrane inserted into the provided protection cap filled with pH 4 buffer solution. This ensures the electrode is always ready for measurement and maximizes its lifespan.
  • Rehydration: If the electrode stays dry for extended periods, immerse it in a pH 7 buffer solution for 1 hour to rehydrate the membrane.
  • Calibration: Standardize the measuring chain using standard pH 7 and pH 4 buffer solutions.
